Branded

Branded is an AR Snapchat lens designed to illustrate how tech companies and other large corporations see us as users. They continue to accumulate increasingly detailed profiles on their users, but doing so can alienate them and treat them as simply a monolith of commodities, one which, after having their data exhausted, no longer serve a purpose to the corporations. I hope it can serve to open up a conversation about user data, privacy, and individuality.

For this AR exploration, I wanted to simulate the effect of being wrapped in plastic. Using the realtime face mesh renderings in Lens Studio made this possible as it truly gave the impression of being skin tight,
