SPECULATIVE ENVIRONMENT / ARDUINO / 3D PRINTING
Unlike a traditional lamp, its hue and rotating shade are synchronyzed with the sun’s cycle, serving as an object to coexist with rather than control.
The lamp’s behavior advocates for a re-engagement with natural cycles, speculating that technological progress may lie in fostering a more balanced engagement with our natural environment rather than circumventing it.
Central to this framing is an exploration of how light, as a form of environmental control, structures and augments our time.
This project seeks to question the nature of work, rest, and autonomy by relinquishing partial control of our built environments back to natural rhythms.
